Partner to the project – Tomra Sorting AS
Partner to the project – Tomra Sorting is a part of Tomra System ASA, a Norwegian international corporation that develops solutions based on sensors for optimal resource efficiency. Products and services of the company cover basically two main business areas: Collection Solutions and Sorting Solutions, including the business stream of recycling, mining and food. The sensors used in sorting separators by Tomra are their “heart” and the most important part of the sorting lines, necessary to achieve the final results – which means the highest quality of sorting. The company was established in 1995, when TITECH AS, as the first in the world, used near infrared sensors for automatic sorting of waste. In 2004, TITECH was taken over by Tomra, and in the following year there was observed the further development of the sorting technology. Currently, recycling is one of the main business activities conducted by Tomra. Worldwide, there are about 11 500 Tomra’s systems, 35% of which is intended for recycling.
The partnership between TOMRA Sorting AS and Wtor-Steel Limited Liability Company not only strengthens bilateral relations between Norway and Poland, but is of particular importance for both companies, in terms of their development and increase of their competitiveness.
